Lets Start Here

Ok, truth be known I am currently swinging toward an option in this upcoming EU referendum.  At this stage I am not going to speak to that as the Jury is still out.  I want to know the real pros and cons of the EU debate.  As Boris Johnson said I a European at heart, I was born in a country that at least geographically speaking is part of the European Continent.  As a soldier I served in West Germany and for a short time the unified Germany I have visited Holland, France, Belgium and Switzerland on many an occasion - mainly for short stays its true, but never-the-less I feel part of the European continent.  

All that said, I do not know what to do about this mammoth decision we have been asked to partake in.  Do not be mislead; this could be this biggest decision we have ever made.  We should give this as much thought as asking someone to marry or turn off the life support of a loved one.  I can hear one or two - if not many, many - people saying that this idea of the importance of this vote is ridiculous or poppycock or event insensitive bullshit.  But think about it for a minute; how many people, how many generations of people are those two examples going to directly affect?  Yes, if you marry you may have children and that is generational but not in the same way.  The decision of whether or not we stay in the EU is in fact a massive one, one that will have echos in possibly centuries to come, so please do not dismiss your decision lightly and by the same token lets not just jump in with both feet, misinformed by political spin doctors.

With luck we will get the correct information and be able to go to the polls on 23rd June with the sure knowledge that we have the facts and that we are in a good place to deice the future for our children and their children - because at the end of the day time marches on and the decisions we make today affect tomorrow.
